Living Life.....In Our 60's

Hey Everyone.....I'm BACK!!! It's been awhile since I have posted anything, but my son's have reminded me it's time! This year has been a good one, not easy, but good. I still have my Love in my life and he is doing well. He turned 60 in Oct. and we count our blessing at every year that passes since his stroke. I will turn 60 in Jan. and I look forward to it. We have lots to be thankful for, where do I began? First, I want to give thanks to my parents, for always being there for me, for giving me a firm base to start my life. No parent is perfect, but we try to be fair and when we fall short, we pick ourselves up and try again. My parents are still here and I thank the Lord I have this time with them. It's hard to see their health suffer, but I'm glad I can be there for them. Larry's Mom and friend John are both in bad health, we try to see them once a month, and we always have a great visit with them. This past year has taught me many lessons, I have looked at my life and the things that I have accomplished and feel very grateful for the people in my life, for those that have helped me though some tough times and for those who have been there through the good times, I thank you all. Larry, what can I say, I have loved him for so long, what would I do without him! He's not the same man I married, but we got a second chance to see what is really important, relationships, loved ones, friends. Dad and I are very thankful for our children. All of them living their lives, raising children, and setting examples for our grandchildren. There is no harder job. We love our grandchildren, and love watching them grow and learn new things. Thanks to all our friends who support and give us strength to move forward. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and Merry Christmas, we love you all, thanks for being there for us!

Halloween.....Boo

Wow...It's almost Halloween! The weather is still beautiful and some of the trees are turning colors, and Christmas is right around the corner. Larry and I plan on spending the Holidays with my parents in Clear Lake this year, it should be fun. All our children seem to be doing fine and the grandchildren are all growing like weeds. Larry and I are still doing our laps in the pool almost every day and it seems to be keeping our blood pressure's down. Larry just celebrated his 59th birthday on the 14th of this month and had a surprise visit from a high school friend. Kipp Crew and his wife Paula took us both out to lunch and we caught up on all the news from both sides, it was a good visit. We went to our softball game today, our team name is the (Silver Sluggers). Mike did all the hats and jerseys and they came out great, everyone was happy with the job he did. Larry and I got to hold the flag for the National Anthem on the pitcher mound, it was an honor. Thanks Mike for the great work and all the time you put into the job! To all our friends and family, Larry and I want to wish you all a very Happy Halloween.

First Day Of Fall

Here it is the first day of fall, Sept. 22, where did the summer go? We celebrated our first year in our new home in July, where does the time go? So many questions! We do love Manteca and all the new friends we have made. Larry uses the club house almost everyday where he uses the pool to get his exercise also have a 18 hole putting course where he putts around everyday. Living here has given Larry a freedom he did not have when we lived in Stockton, so he is a very happy camper. We are the proud grandparents of 12 grandchildren and number 13 and 14 are due in March and April of the new year, all under the age of eight. Girls! it's getting really hard to remember all the birthdays! Dad and I appreciate the job you are doing raising our beautiful grandchildren and know the job does not come easy. Just want you all to know that we love you all and look forward to the new year. Love Mom and Dad E
